Land Acknowledgement

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We at Scout would like to acknowledge the land our establishments reside on, land that has been cared for and honoured long before settlers arrived. We reside on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabeg, the Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat peoples which is now home to many diverse first nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

We recognize the generational traumas and impacts colonialism has had, and continues to have on Indigenous peoples. As settlers, we commit to a life long learning, not only of the histories of Indigenous People, but also the current and contemporary issues that continue to have lasting impacts. We will listen to Indigenous voices and stories and continue to use our platforms as a way to amplify those voices and educate others.
